Our client currently have six of the most popular restaurants in the UK, with the largest volume of covers per restaurant within their respective cities. They are looking for brilliant, talented people to join their team as a Sales Manager .

As sales manager, you will be responsible for the sales within the restaurant, this is a proactive sales role and you will need to attract and secure a wide range of bookings for the restaurant.

 

Main Responsibilities:

— Develop marketing, advertising and sales strategies;

— Research market, competitor’s policies, products, prices and provide market studies for potential business opportunities.

— To assist and advise key departments on Restaurant sales related issues.

— Produces reports and recommendations concerning marketing and sales strategies for senior management;

— Attends meetings and trainings for further development and as per the requirements of the business.

— Research and identify new sources of business via telephone sales, market research, in-house sales, direct mail, ‘cold calling’ etc.

— Contributes to the development of sales strategies and setting of sales targets;

— Monitors and evaluates the effectiveness of services provided by staff to improve business

— Manage directly employed staff effectively and according to organisational policies

— In the event of major technical, operational or security incidents, co-ordinate all relevant activities in order to ensure efficient performance and return to normal operating conditions.

— Leads in the identification and evaluation of third party providers of restaurant operations, managing the procurement process for the selection of preferred contractors for the various business support functions

— Perform administrative duties requiring attention to detail and analysis

— Compiles and analyses sales figures, prepares proposals for marketing campaigns and promotional activities and undertakes market research;

—  Keeps up to date with products and competitors.

— Following up new business opportunities and setting up meetings;

— Carry out other duties as required by the management

— Travel as necessary to deliver requirements of the role

— Planning and preparing presentations;

— Providing feedback.

— Assist with customer data base and contact list

 

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and knowledge:

— Strategic thinker with the ability to set out and structure a sales plan geared to growth

— Degree-level qualification in a hospitality and/or marketing field would be an advantage

— A proven track record to close a sale

— Excellent selling and networking capability

— Knowledge of local market

— Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

— Ability to work under pressure and under own initiative

— Passion for sales and for achieving targets and objectives

— Passionate about networking and interacting with people

— The suitable candidate must have relevant experience of working in a similar
environment/establishment and must be able to work in a team or independently using your own initiative.
